The glass tube can be filled with approximately 1.5-2 grams of crushed herb, first placing the silicone lid on one end. Then we introduce the threaded metal piece to the end of the tube, and at the end it contains the large nozzle and a small gasket for a perfect union. We remove the silicone lid and use a lighter or torch to light our pipe. By turning the thread as we smoke, the ash is pushed to the outside.
