With this nitric acid you will be able to adjust the nutrient solution to the most suitable pH for your substrate.
This product must be handled with care as it can cause severe burns on contact. Nitric acid will add extra nitrogen to the solution.
When using organic stimulants, we must correct the pH before adding the stimulants, since the acids eliminate very important characteristics of the stimulants. When using chemical fertilizers, it is advisable to correct the pH after adding the fertilizers.
Stimulators should be added at corrected pH. BAC pH Down and pH Up are also used to remove bicarbonate from water with high hardness.
To prepare the solution, pH Down must be added until reaching pH 5.2. Allow the acid to react with the bicarbonate, the water will then drop to pH3. With pH Up, we raise the pH to the appropriate level depending on the substrate we use and whether the fertilizer is organic or mineral, consult the pH tables.
