Thai mushrooms belong to the species Psilocybe cubensis samuiensis, discovered in rice crops in a village on Koh Samui, a small Thai island.

The mushroom is small, no more than six and a half centimeters in height, with a large, pyramidal cap, and a color between red and brown that turns gray when it dries. They are very famous for their relaxing effect and the intense visual effects they cause.
