Stable Values
The acidity of water is expressed by pH, which takes into account the level of ions in the water. The lower the pH level, the higher the acidity level. Soil with a pH of 7 is neutral, below that is acidic and above that is alkaline. For most plants, a level between 5.5 and 6.0 is desirable, and this level should be stable. If this value varies, the amount of food consumed by the plant will also vary, and this can be seen in the appearance of the plants.
pH 5.5, 6.0
The recommended pH value for watering most decorative plants is between 5 and 6, and HY-PRO pH- can help you regulate these levels and keep them stable.
