Starter fertilizers are most beneficial when crops are planted in cool, moist soils in early spring or late fall, regardless of soil fertility. Crops planted in late spring or early fall generally do not require a starter fertilizer unless soil fertility levels are low.

Starter fertilizers are a small amount of fertilizer applied near the seed to meet the seedling's demands for available nutrients until the plant's root system develops. They also enhance the development of emerging seedlings.

Nitrogen and phosphorus are the key nutritional components in a starter fertilizer. Phosphorus is not mobile in the soil, so the roots of undeveloped seedlings have difficulty obtaining the amounts necessary for proper growth. In addition, phosphorus promotes vigorous root growth.

Instructions for use:

Gradually increase EC from 1.0 to 1.3; dissolve about 0.5 to 0.75 grams in 1 liter of tap water (20ºC). Stir well and, if necessary, adjust to the optimal pH value of 5.8 to 6.5. An easy way to start your growing cycle.
